Consultancy and Analytical Services
Over my academic career, I have acquired considerable expertise in spectroscopy (theory and experiment) and in analytical applications. This experience has led in the past to many academic collaborations, industrial sponsorship and collaborations, and consultancy projects.
I am very keen on continuing collaborations and consultancies.
Available analytical facilities
High-resolution FTIR for gas phase measurements, including a 8 m long path absorption cell (White cell) to increase sensitivity
FTIR with ATR (attenuated total reflectance) attachment for solid and liquid analysis
Solid and liquid phase Raman, with red or green laser excitation (portable instruments)
UV/vis spectrometer, UV-vis portable instrument (USB4000, Ocean Optics)
Near-IR, vis and UV diode laser systems; pulsed high-power laser systems (solid state, dye laser)
Gas phase sensors (diode laser absorption, photoacoustic), in particular to detect CO2, O2, H2S, CH4 etc with high sensitivity and selectivity
LIBS (laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy) for solid analysis
Ultra trace gas analysis (sub ppb) using cavity-enhanced laser absorption techniques
Gas analysis using cavity-enhanced Raman (CERS), for example for O2, N2, H2 detection including isotopes with high sensitivity and selectivity
